This zine is unofficially titled Pink. After looking through all my old drawings I noticed a lot of pink and glitter, therefor I was inspired to make this zine. I used imagery from the internet as well as scanned from books. This zine is 28 pages and is purely imagery and no text. Thread bound.
To get back into the swing of zine making, I created a small zine using a book I found at a Salvation Army on Woodlands school/asylum.
This was an exciting find for me because I had been doing projects around this building for a couple years now. It is in New West (B.C) and has been a controversial building since opening and was just recently torn down completely.
This particular zine includes the positive remarks of people who worked at Woodlands (taken from the book I found) and are paired with images of the building being torn down and former patients who came to watch it get demolished. The zine combines the two different outlooks on the buildings past and shows both sides of the story.
